| ZES in partnership with SI Analytics (SIA) and Inteltronics installed three new ambient air monitoring stations for Mangaung Municipality in August 2008. The three stations are situated within Bloemfontein specifically at Rocklands polce station, Pelonomi Hospital and Bayswater clinic. Each site uses the Envidas data collection system to log data and all stations are operational. Pollutants measured include sulphur dioxide (SO2), particulate matter <10microns (PM10), Oxides of nitrogen (NO, NO2, NOx), carbon monoxide (CO) and ozone (O3). Weather parameters measured at each site includes wind speed and direction, ambient temperature and humidity. |
